Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs, Jesse Bernstein

I liked this book even though it was nothing like I expected. The description of the book had me thinking it would be scary and that the children in the pictures were dangerous. It was not even remotely scary and the children don't seem all that dangerous. I know a follow-up book is coming out, though, so there's still a chance that could change. There were hints that there's something the main character doesn't know about the children yet and we'll see if that gets further developed. The story was very creative and had a lot of ideas I haven't read about before, so I'm really interested to read the next one and see what else the author thinks up. The puzzle of traveling through time loops should be interesting.
