Unheeded Whispers

This book was so much better than Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1). I think it's because I didn't have to hear Lena whining throughout the whole book. There was also a lot of Link, and I like his character.In Beautiful Darkness, Lena is in a dark place. She's completely withdrawn from Ethan, but he doesn't give up trying to get her back. Ok, there are a few times when he almost does, but we know Ethan would never really give up. The book follows Ethan, Link, and a new character named Liv through the caster underground as they try to find and save Lena. I won't give away any secrets about Liv, but she better be back in the next book or else I'll be very disappointed about how this one ended.I don't think any of the plot twists were very hard to figure out, but they were still fun. Now all we need is for Lena to become a more likable character in the next book!
