Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1)

The end of this book was also amazing, especially the very end. It ended how all first-in-a-series book should end, in my opinion. The details exposed near the end of this book were very creative and I loved how everything tied together.
The middle part was slightly less amazing. Akiva bored me. Once his character was introduced and the shallow romance immediately began, I thought I was going to lose interest. Luckily, there is more to the story than the physical attraction between Akiva and Karou.
I definitely recommend this book for the imaginative writing, just beware the insta-love.
